چکیده
The rapid growth of Ride-hailing Transport Services (RTS) demand is found to have caused a fierce market share battle with conventional taxis in previous decades. In selecting taxi or RTS, understanding the factors affecting passenger’s decisions substantial for better development and more reliable transit service. aims this study evaluate RTS Jakarta Greater Area, Indonesia, using demand-supply dynamic models. It has been conducted by 519 respondents, model inputs consisting waiting travel time, trip costs, destination passengers. Moreover, choice between was analyzed based on stated preferences respondents. results showed that as well costs per were 1.49 2.67 minutes lower IDR10,902 cheaper than taxi, respectively. influencing these transport modes also number trips per-day, mode share, average vehicle occupancy, operating hours/day, passengers driver period. model, addition variable service area, peak hour, vehicles speed subsequently observed. Based results, requests Area 64,494 55,811 units models, This proved demand-supply, due added parameters representing area’s traffic characteristics. Additionally, subsequent future research are expected focus modeling demands through global positioning system data, analysis machine learning deep learning. An investigation into machine learning approaches for forecasting spatio-temporal demand in ride-hailing service
In this paper, we present machine learning approaches for characterizing and forecasting the short-term demand for on-demand ride-hailing services. We propose the spatio-temporal estimation of the demand that is a function of variable effects related to traffic, pricing and weather conditions. With respect to the methodology, a single decision tree, bootstrap-aggregated (bagged) decision trees,...
متن کاملPrivateRide: A Privacy-Enhanced Ride-Hailing Service
In the past few years, we have witnessed a rise in the popularity of ride-hailing services (RHSs), an online marketplace that enables accredited drivers to use their own cars to drive ride-hailing users. Unlike other transportation services, RHSs raise significant privacy concerns, as providers are able to track the precise mobility patterns of millions of riders worldwide. We present the first...
متن کاملORide: A Privacy-Preserving yet Accountable Ride-Hailing Service
In recent years, ride-hailing services (RHSs) have become increasingly popular, serving millions of users per day. Such systems, however, raise significant privacy concerns, because service providers are able to track the precise mobility patterns of all riders and drivers. In this paper, we propose ORide (Oblivious Ride), a privacypreserving RHS based on somewhat-homomorphic encryption with op...
متن کاملTaxi and Ride Sharing: A Dynamic Dial-a-Ride Problem with Money as an Incentive
This paper deals with a combinatorial optimization problem that models situations of both dynamic ridesharing and taxi-sharing. Passengers who want to share a taxi or a ride, use an app to specify their current location, destination and further information such as the earliest departure time, the latest arrival time and the maximum cost they are willing to pay for the ride. Car owners also spec...
